I remember the Grapefruit diet pill, I was a fat child in 1985, I wanted to lose weight over that summber because I was going to High School, well, my mom bought these pills and over the summer I lost about 35 lbs, I went from a size 16 to size 8-9 or so, no one knew who I was when I went to back to school (High School) when the summer was over except my close friends that I hung out with all summer that witnessed the transition, I am soooo thankful for those pills because I had a happier high school social life because of them. I since then had become a plus size adult and had NEVER forgot about these pills I have been telling the story about these miraculous Grapefruit diet pills for years, In the last few years I have gotten into natural cures and have been working out and have gone from a size 22-24 to a size 10, I want to a bit more, my goal is a size 7-8, you know “High School skinny”. I had looked high and low for these Grapefruit diet pills though and always had wondered what happened to them, my mom forgot who and where she ordered them from all those years ago, and today I ate a grapefruit and thought about them and said to myself “oh yeah I can google them”, now with the world wide web and all (lol). So here we are. After reading a few articles I figured out what happened to the pills. and I was compelled to tell my story, since I have become and adult I have learned that when the “powers that be” witness you making large sums of money and they can’t get thier hands in your pocket (wink, wink) they will come up with some way to burst your bubble, and lastly I ‘d just like to say when a product is not “FDA approved” THAT IS NOT A BAD THING, SOMETIMES IT’S BETTER!!! (let it marinate, sleep on it, lmao)….Truthfully, Jean
