I just read a story about Kathy Tandy, A doughnut maker, who lost 170 pounds here. What an inspirational story! This also proves that a person in an environment with abundant high-fat, high-calories, high-glycemic index foods can overcome the weight-gain!
I was struck by her attempts with the current popular diets and finally going to portioning and eating sensibly. If you get a chance please read this story as it just goes to show that counting calories are important and not everyone has to keep up with the Jones’ fad diets to be successful!
